Usage
The Usage dashboard shows the feature usage Bunny receives each day, how it was billed, and which usage records were missed and never invoiced.
The Usage dashboard shows the usage records Bunny receives for your usage-based charges and whether each one was billed. Use it to find usage that slipped through and was never invoiced. Filter it by date range, account and feature. The date range defaults to the last 3 months.
The dashboard shows:
- Missed usage records: how many usage records were missed, meaning they were never billed and their billing period has closed
- Accounts with missed usage: how many accounts have at least one missed usage record
- Usage received per day: a stacked chart of the accounts sending usage each day, split by billing status. When you filter by an account, it shows the quantity of usage instead.
- Missed usage by account: a table of missed usage records for each account, broken down by why they were missed
Click any chart to drill down into the usage records behind it, with the account, feature, usage date, quantity, when the record was received, and its invoice.

Each usage record has one of these statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Invoiced | The usage is on an issued invoice |
| On draft invoice | The usage is on an invoice that is still a draft |
| Not yet invoiced | The usage is in a billing period that hasn’t been invoiced yet |
| Missed | The billing period has closed and the usage was never billed |
| On voided invoice | The usage was on an invoice that has since been voided |

| Reason | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Arrived late | The usage was received after its billing period had already been invoiced, so it was not billed |
| Period not invoiced | The billing period’s bill date has passed, but no invoice was created for it |
| No billing period | No billing period covers the usage date, for example usage dated before the subscription started or after it ended |
Usage that arrives late is the most common cause. Make sure your application sends usage to Bunny before the end of each billing period.
